Hawaii Hotel Construction and Renovation Information
Island Of Oahu
Hilton Hawaiian Village
The Hilton is currently revamping Lagoon Drive and Rainbow Drive to allow for all vehicles at this time as the Tapa Depot will be closed indefinitely.
This will affect:
- Rainbow Drive-main drive into resort;
- Lagoon Drive between Rainbow Tower/Lagoon Green and Grand Waikikian;
All shops on driveway side of Rainbow Drive and three shops on Lagoon Drive will be occasionally subject to noise.
As the resort is the shape of a soft ‘O’ most rooms fronting the drives and many rooms in the towers except Ali’I will be able to see the renovations looking down. Additionally, guests passing through the property and traversing from one area to another may experience the barricades and occasional noise.
Work is between 9-5 pm, Mon – Fri, and some Saturdays. Noisy work includes demo equipment for Rainbow/Lagoon Drive
Sidewalks are being kept open and accessible. Barricades are set up around all construction areas.
Please note that renovation times and dates are subject to change without prior notification.
- Current Renovations: Rainbow Tower Mural (4/1/2014 – 7/21/2014):
The rejuvenation of the Rainbow Tower Mural restoration is scheduled as follows:
All electrical fixture installation will continue through July 2014.
The Rainbow Tower Ocean Front Corner Units feature the use of two balconies. For the safety and security of our guests, during the Rainbow Mural Renovation the balcony/lanai that faces the ocean will be closed and locked for the remainder of the mural work. This affects guests staying in the Rainbow Tower Ocean Front Corner Diamond Head View and Rainbow Tower Ocean View Corner Yacht Harbor View. Balcony/Lanai facing the Ocean ONLY will be closed and locked for the duration of the rejuvenation. The other balcony/lanai will be accessible.
The resort will do everything to minimize guest inconvenience, however, times, days, and noise levels will differ between dates.
